The Building Codes Council of South Carolina has approved an effective date of January 1, 2020 for 2018 International Building Code, 2018 International Residential Code, Fire Code, Fuel Gas Code, Mechanical Code and the 2017 National Electrical Code. All of the codes were implemented with South Carolina Modifications. See the SC LLR website for more information.
